The formal ceremony commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by school administrators, followed by s series of synchronized cultural dance performances and choral arrangements managed entirely by the student body.

Looking toward the future, Rev. Fr. Jibin Perumakunnel also used the grand platform to announce several major upcoming school initiatives. Chief among these projects is the launching of a state-of-the-art Digital Science and Robotics Lab, aimed at fostering hands-on technical innovation.

The esteemed Rev. Fr. Mathew Nirapel presided over the award distribution ceremony as the Chief Guest. Dozens of young scholars stepped onto the stage to receive trophies and certificates of distinction:

Celebration of St John Vianney Feast Day

GHUGUS, 3 August 2026 —St. John Mary Vianney Day was celebrated with deep spiritual fervor and joy at VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR campus on August 3, 2026, marking the feast of the Heavenly Parton of the school and the patron saint of parish priests. The event, commonly known as Vianney Day, was organized by the students and staff to honor and express gratitude to the school’s management, for their selfless guidance and spiritual leadership

The chief guest of the function was Rev. Fr. Mathew Nirapel, the Priest in charge, St. Thomas Church Chandrapur. He was given a grand welcome by our band team at the entrance.  After the grand welcome a small prayer service was held in front of St. Vianney’s statue at the school entrance by Rev. Fr. Jibin Perumakunnel, the principal of the school along with the chief guest and the staff members. After lighting the lamp, the function began with a prayer. Then the guests were officially welcomed to the function by principal Rev. Fr. Jibin Perumakunnel, by offering flower bouquet. Students of Class IX welcomed the Chief guest, principal, vice principal, administrator, staff members and the students to the function. In his presidential address Rev. Fr. Mathew Nirapel, draw the attention towards St. John Vianney, a man who had struggles but always persevered and looked ahead. He also asked gathering to do hard work and be simple and faithful.

Addressing the gathering, the principal Rev. Fr. Jibin Perumakunnel, thanked the student community and faculty for making the day incredibly memorable. He encouraged the students to emulate St. John Vianney's determination, reminding them that no obstacle is too big when faced with hard work and steadfast trust in God.

Miss. Zainab Fatema proposed vote of thanks and the programme was concluded with the school Anthem sung by the School Choir.
