Vianney Vidya Mandir is a co-educational English Medium School established and run by the Diocese of Chanda Society, a religious minority trust. It is a private recognized permanently unaided Christian religious minority school founded in the year 2000. The society started this school to meet the felt need of the people of Christian Community in Ghugus and the surrounding areas for Christian Value based quality education for their children.

The aim of the school is to provide sound, intellectual, physical and moral education to the children so that they may become noble citizens and excellent human beings of the country who will carry on the process of nation building. The value based education in the Vianney Vidya Mandir will enable the children to shun all destructive forces and all forms of evil in the society.

The children will leave the portals of this institution at the end of their education here imbued with the spirit of compassion and service, dedication to duty and hard work, fellowship and unselfishness.

This school has been recognized by the State Government of Maharashtra and permanently affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), New Delhi. (Affiliation No. MA 098), the curriculum prepares the students for the ICSE examination at Class X.

Being Unaided minority in nature this institution is exempted from the purview of RTE Act, 2009

Our Origin & Story

Vianney Vidya Mandir started with thirty-seven students and one teacher and a lady helper in 2000. Today, each certified leader and provider is guided by the overarching vision of our former and present principals: “Imparting knowledge.” Their will to excel in this endeavor and to go about it in an organized systematic and professional way has been a key factor in this story of success.

Geography

In spite of the few numbers, the school stood apart because of the perfect ambiance and environment in which the children played and studied. The school patterned its education according to the norms prescribed by CISCE i.e. The Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.

In the year November 2007, the ICSE affiliation was approved. Vianney Vidya Mandir became the only school in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra affiliated to ICSE board.

The endeavor was to go beyond academics and focus on sports and other extracurricular activities to encourage all round personality development.

Today, nearly every teacher and the student has benefited from the quality education provided at the school, which has been proven with the remarkable results and outcomes till date.
