ADMISSION PROCEDURE

ADMISSION

VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR  is a private recognized, co-educational, un-aided Christian Minority Institution founded in the year 2000. Affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) New Delhi, the school prepares its students for the ICSE Examination at Class X level.

VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR welcomes students seeking admission from classes Nursery to VIII on the basis of merit and seats available.

Students MUST fulfill the following age requirement as on 31st of December of the year in which admission is being sought for

Nursery

3 years

KG I

4 years

KG II

5 years

Class I and above

6 years and Above

The academic year of the school is from April to March.

Admissions to the Lower K.G, Upper K.G. And Nursery are taken in January-February.
Admissions to the STD I and above are taken in March-April.

  • Notification regarding registration shall be made in advance and the PROSPECTUS WITH REGISTRATION FORM shall be available from the school office during the prescribed hours. Registration Fee is not refundable. Registration does not guarantee admission. It will be subject to merit and availability of seats.
  • The application form for admission is to be filled in by the parent concerned and submitted as per the date announced. However, before filling in the form, please familiarize yourself with a few relevant facts and conditions.
  • Though VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR will continue its traditional policy of admitting students irrespective of their community, caste, creed, social status, and financial position, this is a Catholic minority institution entitled to the special privileges and protection guaranteed by Article 30 of the Constitution of India.
  • Seek admission in VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR only if you understand and appreciate the vision of holistic education and are ready to abide by the rules and regulations in force at present and liable to change from time to time at the sole discretion of the Management.
  • Parents unaware of the VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR’S scale of priorities may please read the relevant section in the school Diary available for reference at the school Office or refer to the School Website: www.vianneyghugus.com before submitting the application for admission. If any parent feels that these two sources of information are inadequate to dispel his doubts, he should seek further clarification from the Principal or Vice-Principals of the school because, later on, ignorance will not be acceptable as an excuse for any lapses.
  • As a co-educational Day school VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR admits only those who stay with their parents/guardians during the entire period of their study here. Unauthorized stay in any privately-run hostel or as a paying guest is not permissible.
  • Incorrect or incomplete applications will be rejected. Please note that required instructions are given within brackets at appropriate places in the Application Form itself to help parents fill in the details. Do not take anything for granted; please read the Application Form once or twice and get all doubts clarified before you start filling in the details.
  • When a parent/guardian (accepted as such by the school) formally applies for admission to VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR, it is presumed that he/she has made sure of and accepted the norms and regulations for admission to VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR and that he/she has no claim whatsoever to admission to the school.
  • The school authorities can refuse admission to a child without any obligation to give an explanation.
  • Any kind of inducement (money, gifts, etc.) to anybody in connection with admission to VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR, involves refusal/cancellation of admission (even if found out later).

An application for admission is acceptable only if all required details are given in clear terms and in English and all documents listed below are submitted along with.

REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTRATION IN LOWER K. G, UPPER K.G. AND NURSERY

  1. Date of birth certificate : Birth Certificate from the Nagarpalika /Gram Panchayat. (Date of Birth once given shall not be changed on any account whatsoever.
  2. The child to be registered must be accompanied by both the parents.
  3. Two copies of the recent stamp-size photograph of the (Stamp-size photos to be affixed on the registration form and id- card)
  • The child who is registered for admission shall be required to interact with the Principal and the teacher. The date for this interaction will be communicated at the time of Registration.
  • Children brought for interaction shall be able to: recognize and recite.English and Hindi Alphabets, recognize and count numbers 1 to 50, recognize colours, flowers,  animals, birds and fruits and answer questions smartly and intelligently.
  • The interest and availability of the parents in helping the child will be specially counted in the selection of children for admission.
  • Only a validly filled-in Application Form by parents entitles the candidate to take the LKG Counselling. 
  • Attendance in the Counselling is a prerequisite for admission. The paper and documents turned in for admission are the property of the school. No one may claim it for any purpose. 
  • Final admission is confirmed only after the personal interview with the Principal. Once admitted, you are expected to pay the fees within 15 days from the date of personal interview, failing which, will forfeit the admission at VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR.
  • On Cancellation of admission of your ward, the fee refund is at the sole discretion of the Management.  
  • Parents should ensure that their wards can attend normal classes. If a student has attention deficit, hyperactivity, inability to follow instructions, behavioural abnormalities, etc. which are detrimental to the normal functioning of the class, then the parents have to withdraw the child from the School.  
  • Admission once granted will stand forfeited, if it is found later that any fact has been willfully or inadvertently misrepresented or suppressed.
  • Recommendation of any kind will lead to rejection of the application for admission.  
  • VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR does not demand Capitation fee for admission and has not authorized any individual or agency to collect donations in cash or in kind. So, parents may take care not to fall into any trap set by unscrupulous intermediaries who might pose as influential well-wishers and falsify facts for their personal gain. Even the otherwise most eligible candidate will be denied admission if his parent is discovered to have disregarded this explicit warning.

ASMISSION TO STD I TO STD VIII

A written test will be conducted for admission from STD I to STD VIII. They will be tested in English, Hindi, Maths and Science.

  • Class I – English, Maths, Hindi
  • Class II to VIII – English, Maths, Hindi, Science

Admissions are given based on priority of registration and the results in the Admission Test / Interview. The standard of the admission test is of the level of the Annual Examination of the class preceding to which admission is being sought.

Those students qualifying for the written test will be invited for a personal interview. 

If the one selected for admission, fails to get promoted to the next class in the school where he is currently studying, he will forfeit admission, even if he has been selected for admission to VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR

Admission Form provided along with the Prospectus must be filled in and submitted along with the admission / registration fee in advance with the following documents:

  • A copy of the birth certificate attested by a Gazetted Officer.
  • A copy of the Progress Report of the previous school.
  • The Original Transfer Certificate countersigned by the respective Education Board (once admission is confirmed).
  • A copy of the Aadhar Card.

If a student belongs to SC, ST or OBC, the caste certificate should be submitted at the time of admission.

Admission / Registration fee is neither adjusted nor refunded.

Registration of a student does not guarantee admission in VIANNEY VIDYA MANDIR.

The Management reserves the right to grant / reject the admission without assigning any reason.

ADMISSION TO STD IX AND STD X

No direct admission is offered to the students to Class X from Education Boards other than the CISCE Board, New Delhi (Council affiliated schools).

75% attendance is compulsory for the student’s seeking admission in Classes IX and X.

Students seeking admission to Classes IX & X from other Council affiliated schools are to observe the guidelines given by the school in accordance with the Council’s rules and regulations from time to time.

Students seeking admission to Classes IX & X should submit the following documents at the time of admission:

  • Attendance Certificate from the previous school.
  • Transfer Certificate (Countersigned) from the previous school.
  • Progress Report.
  • Original Registration Card.
  • Copy of the Aadhar Card.
